Boston College women’s basketball defeated Miami 70-64 tonight, earning the Eagles their first ACC win of the season. This was truly a battle of the defenses, as Miami forced 25 turnovers and BC forced 20.
The Eagles jumped out to an early 7-0 lead tonight and kept Miami from scoring for almost 4 minutes, but the Hurricanes’ strong defense started shutting BC down as the period went on. With under a minute to go in the quarter, the Hurricanes took a 12-10 lead. The Eagles got the ball with seconds remaining, and at the buzzer Kaylah Ivey sunk a tricky 3 to put BC up 14-12 heading into the second quarter.
