On Tuesday, Maryland women’s head soccer coach Meghan Ryan Nemzer announced that former Saint Francis head coach Sarah Butler will join the coaching staff for the fall season.
In 2023, Butler became the fifth-fastest Saint Francis head coach to reach 10 wins. The year prior, she led the Red Flash to a seven-win campaign and the NEC Conference Tournament quarterfinals.
Before her time at Saint Francis, Butler spent time coaching at St. Bonaventure, Eastern Kentucky and Division III Houghton College in western New York.
Butler had an impressive playing career, too, slotting in at goalkeeper for five years at Division III Messiah College in Pennsylvania.
